Back in January 2007, Angelina Jolie’s mother Marcheline Bertrand died after a seven-year battle with ovarian cancer. Angelina was reportedly (and visibly) distraught after her mother’s death, dropping weight and welling up with emotion in several interviews months later when asked about her mom. Now the Enquirer is reporting that Angelina is still so grief-stricken, she’s seeking out a New Orleans psychic to help her contact her mom.
“Angelina misses her mother terribly. They were best friends, and Angie relied on her mom for advice about everything from career to relationship issues,” an insider told the Enquirer. “Lately, Angie has been talking about how she wishes Marcheline were around to help her make major life decisions, and if that means reaching into the afterworld, then so be it.”
Angelina met a female psychic in New Orleans not long after her mom died. The two kept in touch after the psychic correctly predicted Angelina give birth to a boy and a girl.
They’re planning to meet for a séance-like session during Angie’s next trip to New Orleans, which will be before the end of January, said the source.
“Angelina has had multiple face to face and telephone sessions with the psychic, but it’s only recently that she said, ‘I want to contact my mother.’”
“Angelina told the psychic that she’s like a sign from her mom that her soul is at peace. But Angie has been grappling with the dilemma of whether she and Brad should make their union official. Marcheline always said she wanted Angie to settle down, but one of Angie’s biggest regrets is that she never asked her mom if she thought Brad was ‘the one.’ Angie is also agonizing over whether or not to adopt another child, or try for another biological child.”

Eh, I could see this, I really could. But if every word of this is true, don’t you think Angelina is using her mom’s spirit or ghost as some kind of cosmic Magic Eight ball? Should I marry Brad? “Reply hazy, try again.” And call me crazy, but I actually believe in psychics and fortune tellers and all of that. Sure, there are some scammers and con artists, but there are many who genuinely have some kind of other-worldly gift. Of course, if I was Angelina, I would be asking questions like “When does Zahara’s world domination begin?” and “Why do my twins look like Spears-Federline children?”
