Before you get the impression that Into The Dark’s next installment is going to be a more comedic entry in Blumhouse’s horror series, it’s not. The newest episode directed by Adam Mason will definitely be funny but let’s just say I’m Just F**king With You will make people regret pulling April Fool’s pranks on each other. The reason for that is pranking can sometimes give birth to characters like Chester (Hayes MacArthur)—one of the feature’s main stars.
When Larry (Keir O’Donnell), an unassuming guest wanders into the Pink Motel, he finds the most obnoxious attendant running the place: Chester. He doesn’t immediately introduce himself as the manager but he wastes no time in joking with Larry, evidenced by their interactions in the official trailer.
In the clip for I’m Just F**king With You, Chester begins joshing around with Larry playfully. He doesn’t appear to have an ulterior motive until the following flash of images depicts Chester and Larry getting into a fair amount of shenanigans together.

While we can’t say with certainty, it appears as if Chester plans out a night of pranks just for Larry and his sister. Chester has clearly taken an interest in them, invading their privacy in weird ways.
One instance, in particular, depicts the latter faking a phone call from Larry’s sister—lying to him about her untimely death—which shows just how far this loony hotel attendant is willing to go with his April Fool’s pranks.
The weird thing is Chester looks like the rational one in their exchange. Larry appears to lose his mind over the pranks, becoming slightly deranged during his time at the Pink Motel. A glimpse at what is presumably the conclusion of I’m Just F**king With You briefly shows Larry being tased a police officer as a result of his belligerent behavior.
The scene in question may happen midway into the feature but our guess is Chester will call the police when Larry goes insane. That aspect is still up for debate, of course, the shots in the trailer all but confirms that Larry will become a little crazy.
Nevertheless, Larry and Chester’s battle of wits should be quite entertaining, especially for an April Fool’s themed episode of Into The Dark.
